Austin Dog Rescue is made up purely of volunteers. Each dog is sheltered within a home in the Austin area. As such, there is no physical shelter to visit the dog at. If you think you may be interested in a particular dog now or in the future, please fill out an application form. People with approved application forms are prioritized over people who haven’t yet applied.
I am Sabrina the teenage doq witch. My magic powers include finding long lost toys in the yard, the ability to make anything a game, magically appearing when food is near.
My idea of a dream home includes daily walks and adventures, toys for chewing, lots of attention, and a yard to run.
New things scare me at first but I catch on quick. New people make me nervous too. For this reason I will do best in a home with older kids who will understand my nervous barking. Not to worry once I realize I am safe I become BFF's with all new people.
Foster mom thinks I would be best in a home with a dog playmate. I have some energy to burn and I LOVE to play. My foster sister and I tear up the yard running around chasing the resident cat.
Speaking of cats, I can live with them but it may be more work than you want to put in. I have to be reminded all the time to leave the cat alone. He's just so interesting and I love to wrestle with him. While I may need work on my cat outreach I am fantastic with my dog friends which include two Chihuahua's who don't like me and my best friend a German Shepherd.
If I sound like a good fit with your family we should meet up so you can see how pretty I am in person.
