A2P Foster Homes
There are those that sit on the sidelines hoping someone else helps a dog. And then there are those do something that truly make a difference. Fostering a mature dog is our GREATEST NEED and you can be the person that can change a dogs life forever.
Senior dogs come in all sizes and breeds. We don't base our intake on these things, but instead, on their personality and overall behavior. Some have been well loved and cared and some have not. Regardless of their age or needs, we look for senior dogs that still have a lot of life to give, and an abundance of love.
When it comes to fostering, there is nothing easier or less time consuming than caring for a senior dog. They are so grateful you can see it in their eyes every day. Grateful for the food they receive. Grateful that someone cares enough to assure all of their medical needs are addressed. Grateful to have a soft pillow to sleep on every night instead of the hard cement floor of a shelter. Grateful for the slightest show of kindness.
If you foster a senior dog, you don't have to worry about having your furniture chewed on, dealing with housetraining, extra time for exercise, and much more. Because of their calm nature and gentle behavior, and great manners, many of them would make excellent therapy dogs. What we've found is, these mature dog settle easily right in to your home and family. They just want to belong... find a family to love and live life to it's fullest.
If you want to be one to change the world, one dog at a time, fill out our online foster application and note Aged to Perfection (A2P).
