Mission & Introduction
Austin Dog Rescue's Aged to Perfection adoption program is a foster home based program designed to save mature dogs who have lost their homes through no fault of their own. We believe senior dogs deserve the same chances as younger dogs when it comes to helping them find a happy ending to their story. Dogs over the age of 7 years old have a much greater chance of being euthanized than most other shelter dogs. Our goal is to address their medical needs and then match them with families such as young busy professionals, empty nesters, and senior citizens.

They may be young at heart - loving walks, swimming and all of the other joys in the dog world, but their once puppy faces have changed into sweeter more understanding versions of themselves.
The urge to chew you and your shoes has long left their agenda, and your couch cushions are perfectly safe in their company. Grass is for sniffing and conducting certain business - that's old news to them. They possess the calm, sweet and loyal nature that captivates dog lovers across the world.
