Nala......in a few different cultures, the name Nala means stream. And our Miss Nala is a stream......a stream of love, kindness and beauty. The name Nala also comes from the movie The Lion King, where Nala is Simba's best friend......and in real life, our Nala wants to be YOUR best friend.

Nala has not had a consistently safe life. I can tell by the way she listens, behaves, and loves that she was once owned by someone who cared for her at one time. Because no one has come forward to claim her after being found on a busy street in Austin, she is now in the care of a foster, but she wants to be in a permanent home to live out the rest of her years. She is a very caring, gentle, kind, sweet girl who needs a person or family that can give her stability and structure. She is very smart and must be stimulated. She is not a chewer, digger, or barker and loves to just be near you or go on walks. She listens well to commands and is house broken. She is currently sharing a house with 3 male dogs and some cats and gets along well with all. She does get a little pushy/snarky with female dogs, so a female housemate may not be the best for her. She has got along with all humans that have met her and she loves the attention that people give her. I think she could be happy being an only dog or with a male dog.

You can tell that she just wants to be part a forever home and that she will appreciate anything and everything you will do for her. Her heart is BIG and just needs to be filled!!! If you want to look in this pretty girls eyes in person and fall in love, please fill out an application.

Nala is heartworm positive and will be treated and ready for her forever home in mid/late September!
